This is a video of my hedgehog named hedgie. I was about to give him a bath and decided to record him in the tub. That crazy thing he's doing where he licks his back is called 'anointing'. Basically when a hedgehog comes across a new smell it will lick or chew on whatever it found and then foam at the mouth and spread it onto their quills. It's normal, though it looks strange. What really sucks is when I give him a bath and he decides to anoint with grass or somthing colorful.. Sorry, it's kind of long and not too interesting. Enjoy it for what it is.
